2017 Invasive Weed Survey & Treatment
The 2017 invasive weed survey was conducted on May 12, 2017. The target date for treatment was set for May 25. The amount of invasive weeds decreased in 2017, as the survey this year found 13.72 acres of invasive weeds in all of Magician Lake vs. 20.1 acres in 2016.
Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) was down this year, as we have 8.92 acres, which was down slightly from 10.1 acres in 2016.
Starry Stonewort (SS) and Curly Leaf Pondweed (CLP) total 4.8 acres and are found mostly in the Polk and Magician Bay channels.
